Algae Works
2011-2012
While working on the exhibit, In Material, with two other artists, we visited one of the artist’s home on the Russian River and spontaneously decided to go down to the water to film. Ducks were swimming through algae that floated on the surface of the water. We filmed, then culled sheets of it to dry. I took some home to see what else I could do with it. Printed and sewn algae resulted.
